My home town

I will introduce you to my home town. My home town is Kikuchi in Kumamoto. Frist, I tell you something about Kikuchi. The summary of Kikuchi city is below. The area of city is two hundred and seventy six square kilometers. The population is about 50,000 people. The symbol tree of my city is the cherry tree and the symbol flower of my city is chrysanthemum.

The symbol bird of my city is bush warbler. There are two mountains in Kikuchi, Mt. Kuradake and Mt. Yahogatake. The Kikuchi River runs through the city. Since 2005, Shichijo town, Kyokushi town and Shisui town have been included in Kikuchi city.

Next, I introduce the sightseeing spots in the Kikuchi. Kikuchi gully is well known as a summer resort. The location is nice to walk in and play in the water. In addition, you will feel the great nature and minus ions from the forest. The hot spring in Kikuchi is also good. There are a lot of hot springs around Kikuchi. Hot springs will heal your tired mental state and your body.

The inconvenient point of my home town is that it is too far from the center of Kumamoto city. Also, we have bus as the only way of public transportation to and from Kumamoto city. This is not good. When I want to drink through the night downtown in Kumamoto, I have to worry about the last bus. If I miss the last bus, I will stay somewhere in Kumamoto city and go back the next morning, or I have to take a taxi and I have to pay a very expensive fare to get home. I need the transport running until late between Kumamoto city and Kikuchi city. Recently, sightseers to Kikuchi are decreasing. The sightseeing resources of Kikuchi are not enough to assemble people from other towns.

For example, if you want to know what song is this radio playing, you can search it on this smart and genius tablet in school, office, any places. If you lost your way, ask Siri who is virtual assistant inside the tablet and you never lost.

My smart friend

I have the friend failing the test of car license twice.  It's unbelievable thing for me to do.  Most of my friends say it can't be happen the thing to fail the test twice.  We thought so, but it happened...  She said she studied, and thought to pass.  I recommended her to go to Asahi-ya which is the cram school to study for car license. You can go there at the night before the test day.  It opens at 1:00 am, everyone studies to 7:00 am, and then, they goes to take the exam.
To go the school is necessary for the friend.  I hope she will pass the exam and get license, or, if she fail once more, I want her not to drive car...  It must be quiet dangerous...

Fire fly

Have you already seen fireflies in this year? Firefly can live only the area with clean water. In Japan, firefly is season word of Haiku. The shape of firefly, flying with visionary light is amazing and gives me impression and let us notices the end of spring and beginning of summer. In addition, Hotaru means firefly is one title in Japanese famous old story named Genzi Monogatari.

Food/eating habits

I like to eat broiled meat and Sushi and Motsunabe which is some foods, vegetables and guts boiled in a pot. When I eat broiled meat, I must eat beef ribs, sirloin, and tongue. When I eat Sushi, I love Maguro and saimon. When I eat Motsunabe, I like the taste of miso. You might think that I don’t eat vegetables. That is not the case. I love tomatoes very much.  

My hobby

My hobby is watching movie. I like a kind of SF movie. Recently, I watched “GLAVITY” on wowow. Leading actor and actress are George Timothy Clooney and Sandra Annette Bullock. The story is that the while the astronauts working in space, they are caught up in man-made deserter. We will know the fear of space. Life in space is impossible.

Golden Week plans

This year’s Golden Weeks has already been over, so I tell you what I did in those days.

Saturday, after I woke up, I went to work. Sunday, I did as same as Saturday. Monday and Tuesday are both same as before. So, I had no time to play and do homework. However, last night, the day of final of Golden Week, I ate dinner with my coworker in the youme town Hamasen store. All's Well That Ends Well. Shakespeare said.

Music I like

Kinds of music which I often listen to are Jazz music and J-POP music and recent animation music. I don't check recent　J-POP, but almost convenient store or some shop play recent famous music. So, these songs are very catchy. If I introduced some sound unit to someone, I would recommend EGOIST or Kalafina. Both of them are women’s vocal unit and they have clearly and wonderful voice.

The theory of Japanese Economy

  Today, I took the class of the theory of Japanese Economy.  The class is about Japanese economy as you understand it from the name.  The professor said we would learn about the history of Japanese economy in the age after the World War II, the present system of Japanese economy  and the problems about that.  Now, I learn about the history.  The class has already been taken fifth times.  Today's learning was about the development of Japanese economy and the opening of the Bubble economy.  When the period started, the resume was handed outs.  It showed us about the class with the graphs and tables, such as the rate of development of GDP, the graph about import and export in USA, and the rate of the price of lands.  The more I learned about the economics, the more I was interested in it.

I have many treasures which are irreplaceable.
My family, my friends, and my memories and experiences, these are all my treasures.
What is family for you? People who are very important and I want to save them for my dear
life. My parents gave me my life and brought me up and showed me the right way of acting
as a human being. In addition, they also gave me memories and experiences. For example,
when I was 12 years old and a student of the final grade of elementary school, my family has
went to Ishigaki Island in Kagoshima as sightseeing. I enjoyed this vacation and I
experienced riding on a Jet Ski and scuba diving. Of course, I could see tropical fish and
fantastic view.
And they also helped me to reform myself when I was a NEET. They also supported me
when I decided to enter the university. They also stimulated me to restart studying when I
was slack after I entered university. Now, they also encourage me to graduate from
university. They never give up bringing up me. They are my benefactors. So, they are my
treasure.
Of course, my benefactors are not only my parent but also my friends. My friend, Yamato is
my partner who changes life to make it more enjoyable together. My friend, Joji is a person
who is gentle and kind to me. Both of them are indispensable for me. So...I will tell you the
story of me and Yamato when we drank too much long after midnight. We like authentic bars
very much, so we often go a familiar bar or look for somewhere we have never been to. That
night we went to 3 stores and drank deeply. We couldn't walk well and we were in a bad
condition so we couldn't take a cab. After all, we decided to go home by walking, however
we couldn't reach home and slept at the bus stop. Maybe I think we annoyed everyone who
wanted to use bus until we woke up. But, I think we could get a valuable(?) experience. lol.
This is just one topics of many stories of my friends and I. My friends and my memories with
them are all my great treasures. While I was writing this essay, I noticed that all the parts of
my body, everything what make me is treasures of mine.

Dear my host family

Thank you for accept me into your family. Maybe I think you know about me, however I will
tell you about myself again.
My name is Shunro, and please call me Shun or Shunro. I'm 23 years old. I'm a student of
KGU and my major is English. My hobby is playing Mahjang and watching movies and
Japanese recent animations and reading comic books and novels. My favorite movie is "The
day after tomorrow" directed by Roland Emmerich. Almost all movies which I often watch
are kinds of SF or action movies. In Japanese movies, I recommend "Outrage" produced by
Takeshi Kitano. This is a kind of violent movie, but if you like those kinds of movies, you
should check it out. I like to play video games and social games too. The title of my favorite
game series is METAL GEAR SOLID. It is sold by Konami and was produced by Hideo
Kojima who is the chief of Kojima productions. That is a big name in the video game society.
The concept is like hide and seek and, in the game, you become a person who is a special
agent and intrudes in the territory of the enemy and do many missions.
I have no dislike about foods and I will eat a lot, so I hope you don’t worry about meals. If

First classes and new school year

This is sh*t. I have to join many classes and get many credits or I wouldn’t graduate this university. In spring term, I have to write eight thousand words in writing Ⅲ class. In addition, I have to get over 40 thousand points on English Central to get speaking Ⅲ　credit. I will try

My favorite restaurants

 My favorite restaurants in Kumamoto are Ginza Honzin, PriMadonna, Ichiyanagi Coffee.

I recommend you Ginza Honzin if you want to eat Motsunabe in Kumamoto. You can eat 3 kinds of Motsunabe in there. Salt, soy sauce, and Miso. You can also drink many kinds of alcohol.
Other menu of foods are very good. For example, Nankotsu Shumibiyaki is good taste. It is good choice with drinking. Prices are a bit expensive but worth it. It has arelaxed atmosphere. Ginza Honzin is located in Nishiginza Street and near the Don kihote shop.
If you want to hold an end year party, you should have reservation.
