BR010:Sleeping Beauty

'And you, Sleeping Beauty, are the Princess of my dreams,'  he says.(p. 21)

I heard this story, but I hadn't heard the whole story.  I was lucky because I had a chance to read this.  This is a fantasic story.  In this story, there are fice fairies, which are Fairy Daisy, Fairy Iris, Fairy Sunflower, Fairy Poppy, and Fairy Weed.  I remembered that Fairy Weed gave the Princess bad present because she was angry for not inviting the party, but that is not written in this book.  I remembered the wrong information..?  Also, one thing that I wondered is "Is poppy so popular?"  I think pthers, such as tulip, are better.  Why the auther choose the poppy?  Perhaps, this four flower had any means, but I didn't understand.
This book has nice illustrations.  Yes, many of them are nice, but some are a little scary.  They help you to read and to understand this story.  I recommend that you read this book!

BR09:The Emperor's New Clothes

"I can't see anything.  I'm not worthy of being emperor!" (p.30)

I know this story as "The Naked Emperor" in Japanese.  People don't want to be looked stupid, so they said something like seeing the invisible clothes.  However, a boy, who don't care about how he is looked, said "He is naked!"  Eventually, that is real.  I think this story said "Don't care the words which is said by others, and believe your own eyes."  I often mind about the words said by others and how I looks.  Of course, I should do a little, but I don't have to do like the boy who said "He is naked!"  How I looks and the words said by others are not problem!
This book is very popular in Japan.  Maybe, you must hear it somewhere, such as kindergarten or primary school.  The title is different from Japanese title, but you can know how it is translated.  The illustrations help you understand the story.  Almost all story is not different from Japanese "The Naked Emperor".  I recommend that you read this book!

BR08:Ali Baba and Forty Thieves

She drew crosses on the doors of nine other houses, so Ali Baba's didn't stand out. (p.23)

I heard this story in my kindergarten, and do a drama.  I think that Morgiana is a smart woman.  She helped Ali Baba so many times.  She is not only smart but also brave and honor.  She killed the thieves leader and did a lot of things for Ali Baba.  Ali Baba is a lucky man, and he isn't smart.
This story is an Arabian story in The Thousand and One Nights.  In this book, there sometimes are cruel expresses at the scene which the thieves are killed.  However, the illustrations are comical, so you read it nothing scaring the expresses.  I recommend that you read this book.

BR06: One Piece v.23

Pell "Princess Vivi... serving the Nefeltari family... has been the greatest honor... of my life." (p.60 )

I think that this vol. is one of the most moving vol. in One Piece series.  In this vol., there are some impressive comments.  What Pell said to Vivi is one of them.  After he said it, he transformed to a falcon and grasped the big bomb to bring it to the sky.  And the bomb exploded.  I moved to tears in this scene.  Luffy is very cool and strong because he try to do what he decide.  Also, other his ship-mates are cool and kind.  They fight the enemy for not only themselves but also others.

This comic is famous and popular in all over the world.  It has a very interesting and moving story, laughable scenes, unique characters, and nice illustrations.  I am sure that you are heavily into One Piece, if you read it.  So, I recommend that you read it!

BR05:Wild, Wild WOLVES

If that happens, there will be wild, wild wolves howling in the forest for years to come. (p.48)

Today, wild wolves are few, so you haven't ever seen them. Me, too, but this book taught me about wild wolves, for example, about howling, about their body, about their signal, and any more. We can often see wolves, but it is in movie, novels, and comics. However, I'm impressed by wolves and think it's cool.  Wolves are a symbol of fear, smart, and cool.  It is a mysterious animal. Hundreds years ago, there are many wild wolves, of course in Japan.

A lot of information about wild wolves is in this book. Also, it says that it is important to live in tune with nature. I think so, too.  The illustrations of wolves are very cool!  I recommend that you read this book.

BR04: Cleopatra

The letter was her final request - to be buried alongside her beloved Antony. (p.63)

You must hear the name "Cleopatra".  Yes, Of course, I heard that name, but I didn't know a lot.  Only I think she was a queen of Egypt and a beautiful woman.  After I read this, I know not only that information but also a lot of information of her.  Cleopatra was a smart woman, and she lived for her own love and Egyptian peace.  She thought about Egyptian future and peace, and do a lot for them.  Also, what she did was related to her love.  She fell in love with two men.  However, she wasn't happy at all.  Her life filled with love, thoughtful, and sadness.

This book is Usborne Young Reading Series.  This book has a lot of information of Cleopatra.  Also, the nice illustrations make you to be easy to understand her life.  Maybe, you don't know many things about her.  This book is useful to know about her.  I recommend that you read this.

BR03:Aesop's Fables

And the moral is...
Little friends can be great friends.
(p.61)

There are one introduction and eight chapters in Aesop's Fables. Each chapter has a different story and a moral. All morals are written as short and comical stories with charming illustrations, so I impressed by them. Especially, I like Ch.3 and Ch.8 because they are stories of helping other, in other words, they are heartwarming stories. I like it!

In this book, there are some famous stories you have heard, such as "The tortoise and the hare". Each story is not long, and charming illustrations help you to read. All stories are interesting, and all morals are worthwhile to read! I recommend that everyone read this!
