Today, I’m going to introduce to you about Cloud.

Of course, it is the same spell as cloud which you can see it into the sky. However, Cloud is a name and one of system which exists in both of our local and global network. And, it can make our life more comfortable instead of making rain.

Nowadays, almost all reports, essays of university and materials, proposals of business are not handwritten. Typing was just one of form of writing. But now, have you ever been felt that typing amount to almost of all of writing? Can you imagine how much parentage of handwritten contents which was written a day by a modern person?

I’m sorry, the story wondered. However, actually, what I want to say is that our lives depend on various electronics supporting us include typing. There is no problem about depending on such electronics. The problem is how we utilize them.

――――1　what’s Cloud?

The reason why we use electronics is not only for typing. We can collect much information and process them, and do putting in and out using applications, database in various electronics like laptops, smartphones and tablets.

As you know, those functions were almost standalone system; which means that people can control them only under personally keeping. Therefore, there are environmental disorder that people under inaccessible unless they are in the connectable place for sharing individual information and utilizing them in the local network

Then, Cloud came up. We can utilize computer resources like applications and database when we need them as a form of a service through the global network like Internet.

Cloud supply us many things like from software service, mailing service and online storage for private to operating system and database for companies. And also, Cloud divides Private Cloud and Public Cloud.

――――2.1 private cloud

Private Cloud is a system of network introduced by individual companies for themselves. Users are their employees, associated companies, clients and customers who they are limited allowable people.

――――2.2 public cloud

Public Cloud is introduced by such public institutions for large number of general user.

Of course, Cloud has both of bad points and good points. I’m going to tell you about them as viewing of user.

Good points

anywhere

You can access to Cloud from anywhere you want using laptops, smartphones and other digital devices.

Data are sheared for everyone who has access permission.

Backup

Backup date is very important. Preserving data in your own PC, extra HDD and Cloud server, these triple protections are much better preparing for unexpected accidents.

Bad points

vanishing

If management server has system disorder, or some accidents happen in the server or an administrated company, the date would be vanished or not.

security risk

If you don’t remind how important your personal information is, you will regret. Or, if some crackers attack the server and the server couldn't defend it, I can’t believe what would be happened on your data.

No Internet, No Cloud

We can access Internet from various places through the various devices. That’s why Cloud is comfortable. So, it means you can’t use Cloud in such no Internet environment.

Now, I’m glad if you could get somewhat information about Cloud. By the way, do you notice that the services which we use in this university are also Cloud? G-mail, manaba, so, they are also Cloud.

As you know, the great information gives us the great worth. Today that developing of infrastructure of high speed and high capacity communications, if you know what Cloud is and how to use it, and your future will never be cloudy.
